While I understand that smoking is something those who indulge are compelled to do, I wonder if SP's who smoke understand the effect it has on their business. It would be nice if Hobbyists would make their voices heard on what they prefer as far as smoke free, versus smoke filled experiences.
While I know that if you ask an SP "Do you smoke?" you are wasting your time, as most know enough to lie and say that they don't, I wonder if they understand that providing a smoke free experience for the time of the appointment at least would increase the satisfaction of the Hobbyist, and would go a long way to encourage repeat bookings.
Of course, I could be wrong, so what I hope to get going here is a dialogue between the SP's and Hobbyists on this subject.
Hobbyists, state your views on the typical smoking SP experience, and SP's please give your input as well.
I understand that for some, booking a non-smoking room might be a pain in the ass, and most hotel rooms no longer have windows one can open and air the place out. One problem many who don't even have health issues with breathing stale smoke stained air is the scent of smoke sticking to their clothes and hair, which could cause the need to do some explaining about how that got there. That is definitely bad for business.
I hope we get lots of participation in this discussion.
